More on KentOnline
KentOnline readers are being challenged to think up the perfect question for the KM Big Charity Quiz.
Anyone can submit one question or more for the Readers’ Round part of the popular wine and wisdom evening. The best suggestions, which will be used at a future Big Quiz event, will be in with a chance to win a bottle of champagne.
Entries must include the information source so the question and answer can be verified.
Simon Dolby, question master for the Big Quiz, said: “We need trivia champions to get their thinking caps on. But remember that the best questions aren’t the most obscure ones – they’re the ones where the answer is on the tip of your tongue.”
The next KM Big Charity Quiz event is the Medway heat taking place on Friday, March 27 and tickets are going fast.
But there’s still time to secure a table at the event being staged at the St George Hotel, Chatham with guest appearance by Cheryl Baker of pop group Bucks Fizz.
As well as top raffle prizes - including a selection of the latest toys from Hornby - quiz-goers have the chance to win £100 in cash on the night.
Teams will receive a drink on arrival and entry into a prize draw to win a PO Ferries voucher as well as a ploughman’s supper supplied by Rochester based Twice As Nice catering.
A fully stocked charity bar, courtesy of Shepherd Neame, will be available with staff from Barclays serving the drinks.
Songstress Cheryl Baker will be question master for the entertainment round.
Proceeds from the event, organised by the KM Group’s charity department, will go to Abigail’s Footsteps and the children’s road safety services of the KM Charity Team.
The KM Big Quiz is also supported by Qube Recruitment and a table for up to eight costs £65. There’s a £10 discount on the price with the booking code MEBQEB15.
