SHOWERS experts have bared almost all in the hope that people will splash out on a calendar to help disabled children.
Following the WI lead, 23 calendar girls and boys at Aqualisa in Westerham, near Sevenoaks, took off most of their clothes to pose for the camera to raise funds for the town’s Valence School.
The £5 calendar for 2007 was the brainchild of Aqualisa’s quality assurance manager Simon Smithers and his team. It has been produced in-house by the firm’s marketing department and sponsored by Beacon Press.
The calendar features a cast of lovelies ranging from January’s Lauren to the July trio of Susan, Angela and Tracey.
But the girls do not have it all their own way.
Research and development’s Graham has a well-placed crate hiding his modesty in April, while David and his strategically positioned toolbelt can be seen in December.
Aqualisa marketing manager Jan Shepherd: “I have to admit we had to do more than a little convincing and coaxing, but ultimately all of our colleagues were complete stars."
All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be donated to Valence School, which currently offers day and residential education for 90 young people ranging from five to 19.
School business manager Jenny Wheaton said: “We’ve been lucky enough to benefit from some marvellous fund-raising initiatives in recent times, but I must say that Aqualisa’s effort is right up there with the best of them."
Aqualisa’s 2007 calendar is available from the firm’s reception at The Flyer’s Way, Westerham, or by post from Aqualisa Products Limited, The Flyer’s Way, Westerham, TN16 1DE, with a £5 cheque payable to Aqualisa Products.
