More on KentOnline
LIMITED edition charity wristbands are now on sale through the Kent Messenger Group’s 21 outlets across the county to raise money for charity as part of Get Kent Giving.
Priced £1, the multi-coloured plastic bands display Get Kent Giving – a KM campaign in conjunction with CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) to promote National Giving Week October 17 – 23.
The aim of the week is to motivate people and businesses to make regular, tax efficient donations to their favourite good causes, and to challenge fundraisers to convert their donors into effective givers.
A dedicated website – www.nationalgivingweek.org – to support the week outlines the best ways to give to charity. Alternatively, call 01732 520 088.
Thanks to our Get Kent Giving competitions in KM newspapers across the county, local charities are receiving £24,000. The winner of the £10,000 top prize will be announced next week.
Proceeds from the sale of the wristbands will be donated to local charity.
* During National Giving Week, your local kmfm radio station will give listeners another opportunity to win big money - £30,000 - for Kent’s good causes.
