Primary school children across the county have the opportunity to take control of a leading creative institution.
The top prize for a writing competition organised by the KM Charity Team is the chance to become boss of Turner Contemporary Gallery, Margate for a morning.
Molly Molloy, spokesperson at Turner Contemporary, said: “We are excited to meet our new boss and see what he or she has in store for us at the gallery. The theme this year is superheroes and tolerance, so its thinking about how superheroes bring people together and strengthening communities.”
The Kentish landmark has recently celebrated its fifth birthday and is the proud home to works and installations created by world-renowned artists.
The KM Charity Team, which manages the KM Walk to School initiative and home reading scheme Buster’s Club, are asking starry-eyed youngsters to submit a detailed writing piece explaining which superhero they would most like to walk to school with and why. Whoever supplies the best and most creative description will be crowned king or queen.
