NHS Customers
Watts Farms have been supporting their local NHS teams, sending in a lorry each week full of lovely fresh produce and other grocery essentials for the staff to come and choose what they need free of charge. So far we have been to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Pembury Hospital.
We offer our NHS key workers free delivery with a discount code provided on request and advertised through NHS hospital channels
Vulnerable support line
Working with the Medway council we have set up a vulnerable support line which is a dedicated phone number given out by the council to listed vulnerable people, who can contact us and place orders over the phone with our team. These people may not have local family members or access to online shops to be able to do their own sales, and so far our sales team have made some lovely new friends helping them get groceries!
Special Measures in Place
Ordinarily our drivers are used to the early doors of 4/5am with restaurants and hotels, delivering directly into kitchens and chilled loading bays. They have now had to completely change their ways of working and not only come in later – to ensure we aren’t waking you up! – but also are adhering to strict 2m distance rules. Each driver will drop the delivery to your door step (including flats), knock, step back to make sure you see your delivery and once you are happy they will head off to their next stop!
Our office team are so used to a full, noisy, buzzing office, and are now having to get used to working from a laptop at home answering all our customer queries, with very few operating from a VERY empty office. Although they are loving chatting with all our fantastic new customers, and reading all our lovely positive messages!
