TO MAKE the buying and selling of residential and commercial property at auction easier, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors has unveiled a new set of guidelines for customers.
The new guidelines, which focus on a common set of conditions of sale for all auction houses, strike a balance between the needs of the buyer and seller and should reduce legal costs by adopting a plain English contract.
The conditions are available via the RICS website www.rics.org/property_auctions.
