YORKSHIRE Building Society is launching a range of flexible mortgages which include fixed, discount and tracker rates.
They are in addition to the Offset Account, where borrowers pay interest on their combined mortgage and savings balance; this is also being enhanced with the new range.
Fixed rate mortgage
• 4.84 per cent fixed until 31/10/2004 / max 95 per cent LTV / £325 fee
capped rate mortgage
• 5.59 per cent capped for three years/max 95 per cent LTV/£325 fee
First time buyer mortgage - tracker
• 4.69 per cent (BoE rate + 0.69 per cent) for two years/max 95 per cent LTV/no application fee or MIG premium/£375 cashback
Discounted mortgage - house purchase only
• 2.95 per cent (2.50 discount) for one year, then 4.95 per cent (0.50 per cent discount) for second year/£325/max 95 per cent LTV. At the end of the special rate period, mortgages revert to the variable rate (currently 5.45 percent.
