Chance to fix mortgage rate

THE Yorkshire Building Society has launched a new range of mortgages providing borrowers with a choice of fixing their rate for between two and 10 years.

These new products are in addition to the Society’s offset account and 15 year fixed rate mortgage, which are also available.

As with all Yorkshire mortgages the new products are fully flexible with free, unlimited overpayments and, as interest is calculated at the end of each day, borrowers will get immediate benefit from all mortgage payments.

A summary of the new rates is : Two Year Fixed Rate 3.84 per cent until 31/10/2005; Three Year Fixed Rate 4.24 per cent until 31/10/2006; Five Year Fixed Rate 4.64 per cent until 31/10/2008; 10 Year Fixed Rate 4.89 per cent until 31/10/2013.

These mortgages are also fully portable enabling borrowers to lock into one of the new fixed rates with the security of knowing they can keep the deal even if they move house.

And, unlike many plc competitors, existing Yorkshire borrowers can have any of the deals on offer to new customers.
