HILLREED Homes has launched its new website, www.hillreed.co.uk.

Jo Richards, sales and marketing coordinator for Hillreed, said: “We have created our website to be informative and easy to understand. Our intention is to give buyers a real understanding of our homes, styles and prices but also the area and its facilities, including schooling and commuter facilities.

“A number of our purchasers are from out of the area and by providing this in-depth service we are allowing them to make house hunting a pleasure.”

The site includes a map of the area which clearly defines the location of the site together with an aerial shot. There is also an opportunity to overlay the photograph with the map. This is achieved through quick and easy access to upmystreetr.com and multimap.com.

The main feature of the site is to give purchasers up to the minute facts on property prices, availability, site plans, house layouts and a list of opening hours.

THE Nationwide Building Society is suggesting that house prices will continue to rise this year, but more slowly than in 2002.

It predicts an overall increase of around 10 per cent, but only a five per cent increase for the South East. However, it says the increases will be by no means uniform.

Prices, it claims, will be influenced by higher mortgage rates and slower real income growth in 2003.

MEDWAY Council has produced two new guides to help people living in listed properties understand what they can and cannot do to their homes.

The booklets describe how conservation law and planning policies are applied.

The publications will be sent to all owners of listed properties in Medway.

They are also available from the Compass Centre at Chatham Maritime (01634 331721).
