The Southfields development, off the sought-after Singlewell Road in Gravesend, has been designed with the future in mind. The flagship scheme comprises 211 homes, which include one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses designed to achieve an EcoHomes rating of very good.
The imposing entrance is lined with grassed verges and mature cherry trees and at the heart of the development the village green and existing playing fields have been enhanced and include a full-sized football pitch and two junior pitches.
The eclectic collection is the vision of Hyde Vale together with Moat and leading London architects Pollard Thomas Edwards ,who designed the concept of Southfields.
"The focal point of Southfields is the central green," explained Teresa Borsuk, Director at Pollard Thomas Edwards, "and centred around this we have placed The Crescent collection of homes – three-storey townhouses inspired by the period architecture in the Georgian parts of Gravesend, but with a contemporary twist.
"At either side of The Crescent are the apartments with south-facing balconies and magnificent views across the open space and newly landscaped meadow."
Schools in the area include Gravesend Grammar School for Girls and Gravesend Grammar School for Boys and trains take about 50 minutes to reach Charing Cross while nearby Ebbsfleet International will offer high speed services to London St Pancras in 17 minutes. By road, Southfields is close to the A2, which provides links to the M2 and the M25.
The show home is open from Thursday to Monday between 10am and 5pm.
