A CHEQUE for £5,300 has been presented by Ward & Partners estate agents to the fund for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

This latest donation brings the company's total contribution to Macmillan - one of its nominated charities - to more than £65,000.

Ward & Partners receive donations for the cancer charity throughout the year at their office branches throughout the South East. Customers and staff at Ward's also regularly participate in the annual "World's Biggest Coffee Morning."

David Lench, group managing director, said: "With four in 10 people getting cancer at some stage during their life, we appreciate that Macmillan Cancer Relief still have an enormous task ahead of them, and we are pleased be able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause.”

Macmillan's corporate fundraising manager, Charlotte Webb, stressed: "Contributions like these make a huge difference to the support we can offer to those affected by cancer.”

She was “deeply grateful” to all the offices of Ward & Partners in Kent for working so hard to make the coffee morning such a success.
