Darwin House is one of the Falkland Islands’ foremost guest houses, set in the picturesque and historic Darwin Settlement.
Current owners Ken and Bonnie Greenland have successfully run Darwin House for the past 10 years and they hope to support the new owners by offering independent guided wildlife and battlefield tours.
Named after Charles Darwin, who spent some time in the Falklands during his travels, the settlement was established in 1859.
Darwin is also close to the historical site of one of the most significant battles of the 1982 Falklands War at Goose Green.
More than 25 years later, activities around Darwin are much less dramatic and a lot more fun: fishing, walking, boating and golfing are popular pastimes for Darwin House guests, and the site provides an ideal base for the exploration of the area.
