FIRST-time buyers Stuart Vigor and Caroline Allen (pictured) searched for almost a year before they found their dream property at Charles Church's Poynings Place development in Horsmonden.
"It’s really hard for first-time buyers to get onto the property ladder and we struggled to find properties which met our requirements and that we could afford," explains 28-year-old Stuart.
"We currently live in Lamberhurst and we were searching for something within a 10-mile radius of Tunbridge Wells because we both work locally and have family who live close by.
"Initially we were looking at older properties which needed work doing but then we decided we wanted a house which we could move into straight away as we didn’t want to live in a building site.
"We came across Poynings Place and although we were originally looking for a two-bedroom house when we saw the two-bedroom coach house we knew that was what we were looking for."
As well as having an integrated garage the property boasts a spacious open plan living room, dining room and kitchen, a master suite with en suite facilities and a second bedroom and bathroom.
"We were impressed with The Richmond’s layout, and especially liked that it was open plan and that there were two bathrooms – something we found to be quite rare for two-bedroom properties. We can’t wait to move in and start enjoying living in the traditional village community of Horsmonden," Stuart said.
Poynings Place is a development of two, three and five-bedroom houses in a quiet cul-de-sac close to mature woodland. Horsmonden itself has excellent transport links; nearby Paddock Wood station will take you to Charing Cross station in 50 minutes, the A262 is three miles away and the M20 and M26 provide links beyond.
Prices at Poynings Place currently range from £199,950 to £625,000.
