HOUSEHUNTING can be difficult, especially when you lose out on your dream home because you still have to sell your own property.
There is light at the end of the tunnel, or more precisely along the coast, with the latest collection of homes from award-winning housebuilder Millwood Designer Homes.
With house prices up by two per cent this is a good time to buy.
Cliffsend Meadows is a development of 32, three, four, five, six and seven bedroom homes in Cliffsend, near Ramsgate. The homes offer luxury, style and a fantastic location close to Pegwell Bay, in addition to Millwood’s Home Mover scheme, which enables purchasers to reserve their home even if they still have a property to sell.
The new service, which is subject to scheme rules, is straightforward and will be of benefit to those who have chosen their Millwood home, but are having difficulty selling their own property.
Millwood Designer Homes will arrange for the buyer’s current home to be valued and once this figure is agreed with both Millwood and the homeowner, a designated agent will place the property on the market. At this stage the purchaser will be able to reserve their new Millwood home.
Karen Sharp, from appointed selling agent Strutt & Parker, said: "Recent figures from the Land Registry suggest that the market is on the move again, particularly with luxury properties. In fact the number of homes selling for over £1m almost doubled to 1,032, which is equivalent to 10 a day.
"The 'Millwood Home Mover' is bound to be popular, as it removes the stress and hassle often associated with moving house and customers benefit from the expertise of both Millwood and our local knowledge as the appointed estate agent."
The homes at Cliffsend blend beautifully into the surrounding area thanks to the sympathetic design of the exterior. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, particularly the chrome ironmongery utilised for the fixtures and fittings of these highly-specified homes.
Fully-fitted designer kitchens are by James Theobald and feature integrated appliances. Stylish ceramic tiles from Porcelanosa complete the thoroughly contemporary look. Bathrooms feature luxury white sanitaryware and tiling.
Prices start at £250,000. For further information contact the show home and marketing suite, open daily 10am to 5pm, on 01843 607497. Alternatively, contact the selling agent Strutt and Parker on 01227 451123 or visit the company’s website at www.mdh.uk.com.
