There must be something in the water at Kings Hill, as nine babies have been born to nine different families living on the new development by Ward Homes near West Malling in the past year.

The baby boom is being put down to the family friendly nature of the site, which contains three to five bedroom houses with prices starting at £250,000. There are leisure facilities, shops, restaurants and a nursery in the countryside location, 15 minutes from Maidstone.

Angela Benson, 28, is the mother of eight-month-old Sonny and moved to Kings Hill from London.

She said: "I love living at Kings Hill, it’s very family oriented and safe, and a great place to bring up a baby. Everyone’s very friendly and everything is on the doorstep.

"I’m already applying for Sonny to go to the Kings Hill pre-school nursery and there are two very good primary schools here for when he’s older."

Ward Homes are also offering to help families with an existing home to sell by buying their old home in part exchange.
