A NEW new show home recently opened at Ward Homes' Kingsgate development in the centre of Maidstone.

Back in spring of last year when the site was launched, no less than 18 apartments were snapped up on the first day, with sales staff having to hand out tickets to the jostling queues to make sure people were seen in order, such was the turnout.

The new show home is a three-bedroom townhouse with a breathtaking extended kitchen and breakfast area.

The interior designers are busy applying their magic in readiness for the opening, and there's a real sense of anticipation building up among prospective purchasers and Ward staff. Already 29 properties have been sold with reservations on many more. There are 44 properties in all - a mixture of 32 two bedroom apartments and three bedroom duplex penthouses, and eight three bedroom contemporary townhouses with four more awaiting planning permission. This is the only phase at Kingsgate. All the properties are being built in one go, with completion expected by this summer.

Janet said a “real mxture of prospective buyers had been interested: “We have one couple in their 80s, a newly wed couple, several young couples, married couples and a number of individual investment buyers."
