Ten-point advice plan for home buyers

CHELTENHAM and Gloucester has produced a 10-point advice plan for people about to purchase a home. It says people should beware of choosing areas with just one major employer. A plant closure can have a dramatic effect on house prices.

The lender suggests choosing an area where major house builders have developments. The companies will have checked out the economic potential.
