One baby girl couldn’t wait to see her new nursery – popping into the world just days before her mum and dad moved house.
Reisha Dodds, 21, was nine months pregnant when the Deal home purchase she and electrician fiance Alex Barr, 22, had organised, suddenly fell through.
Within days, the first-time buyers had rallied from the disappointment and had found a bigger house at George Wimpey’s Blenheim Court development at Hawkinge, near Folkestone, for the same money.
Baby Alexa duly arrived and just five days after the birth the family moved in.
Reisha said: “We had to start our search again quickly, and found that for the same money as the two-bedroom house we had looked at, we could buy a brand new three-bedroom house at Blenheim Court.”
Alexa’s already enjoying having her own nursery, while the happy couple, who plan to marry in 2010, have the master bedroom with en suite bathroom.
Reisha said: “I really like the layout of our home. When the sun shines it bathes the lounge and dining room in light.
“But the kitchen is my favourite, with fitted units, cooker and tiling, and it’s where I spend a lot of my time these days, as a mum!
“We also love the area, especially the new community centre just around the corner where they hold lots of different activities for mums and babies. I can even go there to get Alexa weighed.”
The three-bedroom homes at Blenheim Court are priced from £189,995.
