If you’ve ever dreamed of owning your own vineyard, this could be your lucky day.
The Harbourne Vineyard, less than 10 minutes from the centre of Tenterden, has gone on the market for £150,000.
The established vineyard has been operating since the 1970s and has planted varieties including Ortega, Bacchus, Seyval, Muller, Thurgau, Blauer Portugieser and Pinot Meunier.
The vines cover 2.86 acres of land and have produced countless bottles over the past 44 years.
The handmade wines from the vineyard, which has been put on the market by Savills, are currently created using traditional methods with no insecticides or fertilisers.
The wine that has been historically produced by the vineyard is not certified organic, but the site is entirely GMO-free and all of the wine is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
“The Harbourne Vineyard is well-established with a wide variety of rootstock, perfect for a hobbyist or a new entrant to viticulture,” says Chris Spofforth of Savills viticulture team. “With increasing interest in UK viticulture and demand very much focussed on Kent and Sussex, we anticipate strong interest in this niche vineyard which is in a sought-after and recognised position.”
The family-run vineyard is located between Tenterden and the village of High Halden.
