Developers have been able to preserve and restore original 1960s parquet flooring at luxury Whitstable apartments.
The eight apartments and the luxury penthouse at WestBay Court are being created by developer Rossetti from a five-storey 1960s building on the High Street.
The High Street homes have unrivalled views across Whitstable Bay, and are a short walk from the beach.
The apartments have a light and bright open-plan layout.
The stylish and spacious kitchens all have granite worktops, and each apartment comes equipped with Miele appliances that include dishwashers, microwaves, single ovens, hobs and extractors. Some apartments have washer/dryers.
The homes are mainly two-bedroom properties. Some have Jack and Jill bathrooms, and others have en suite bathrooms and separate shower rooms.
The prices at WestBay Court range from £185,000 right up to £1 million.
Agent Strutt & Parker said the developer had been able to retain the stylish parquet floors, which are being restored and polished with stunning results.
Parquet is today valued by designers as an interesting take on wooden floors. It was first-made famous by French king Louis XIV, who had it fitted at Versailles.
