Come and add up some figures at a special house-moving event at a Redrow development Saxon Woods, Hamstreet, on Saturday, November 8.
Experts will be on hand to talk you through the financial implications of a move to this village setting with good local amenities, just an hour from St Pancras.
Interest is expected to be high in the Help to Buy scheme, available to buyers on all new homes priced up to £600,000.
The government-backed scheme allows those who may not have substantial savings or much equity in the property they are moving from to purchase a brand new home with, typically, just a 5% deposit.
Kerry Jenkins, sales director for Redrow Homes says: “Moving to somewhere like Saxon Woods is something many people dream of but perhaps think is beyond their means.
“What they may not realise is that homes, within just an hour’s commute of London, are considerably cheaper than properties in the capital.
“In fact research by Lloyds Bank suggest the difference could be more than 50%. Factor in Help to Buy and the potential savings could be even greater.
“We’re extending an open invitation to anyone considering moving to Hamstreet to join us this Saturday to discover more about the valuable incentive.”
Saxon Woods offers a choice of four and five-bedroom homes. Prices start from £344,995 for a four-bedroom York, which is a spacious semi-detached property.
The three-storey Highgate has five bedrooms and is priced from £509,995.
There are open plan living and dining areas and the master bedroom has an en suite and dressing room.
Saxon Woods, in Lancaster Close, is just a short walk away from Hamstreet railway station. There’s also a choice of schools nearby and a bustling village centre.
Homeowners can explore the area via the many footpaths or take a stroll along the towpath of the Royal Military Canal or through Hamstreet Woods Nature Reserve.
The Help to Buy day runs from 10am.
