EMPLOYMENT prospects for accountants and insurance workers in the south east are looking rosy, according to the Alexander Lloyd Job Index. The number of new, permanent job vacancies available in April for both groups was up three per cent on the previous month, and up 19 per cent on the average for the past six months in the region.
The number of permanent jobs filled during April was also up by 24 per cent on March. Neil Quarendon, operations director of Alexander Lloyd, said: "Monthly statistics must be carefully read because it takes time for permanent appointments to be made, and changes on temporary contracts to be completed often cover more than one month.
"Certainly, the accountancy and insurance sector in the south east is looking good for job choice and variety."
