Ashford Borough Council seeking approved electrician

Ashford Borough Council is looking to recruit an approved electrician to join their electrical services division.

The role comes with a salary of £16 to £18.71 per hour, depending on skills and experience, and is full time (37 hours).

The position will principally involve periodic electrical installation condition reports, refurbishments and repairs to electrical installations.

The ideal candidate will have an all-round knowledge and experience of electrical installations and the wiring regulations together with the right demeanour for working as a team and in occupied properties.

Those interested in the position will need to hold a current valid driving licence as a company van will be provided and be conscientious, quality driven and well organised. The role also includes being able to plan your own varied workload and work as a team member.

Candidates should hold the qualifications of BS7671 18 TH Edition A2, City & Guilds Level 3 2391: 2391-52 Initial Verification & Periodic Inspection and Testing, 2391-51 Periodic Inspection of Electrical Installations, 2391-50 Initial Verification of Electrical Installations, be computer literate, have good communication skills and be committed to providing a high quality service to our tenants.
