MANY new jobs and training opportunities has been created thanks to a multi-agency partnership in north Kent.
A branch of the Learning Shop has been launched at Nucleus, the innovation centre at The Bridge business park in Dartford.
The Learning Shop@The Bridge will help people benefit from the regeneration opportunities arising from the area.
The organisations involved include Employ Kent Thameside, Jobcentre Plus and Start,and West Kent College.
It can also provide free recruitment services and help companies to identify funded training programmes.
Employ Kent Thameside manager Sally Clarke said: "The partnership of organisations involved in the Learning Shop @ The Bridge means we can help local people to secure high quality jobs close to where they live.
"At the same time, we will be able to meet the skills needs of local employers and to provide practical help and support for new enterprises. Bringing all of these elements together we are confident that we can make a valuable contribution to the local economy."
The Learning Shop@The Bridge is supported by the Kent Thameside Economic Board, ProLogis Developments Ltd, Dartford Borough Council, SEEDA and Urban.
