60mph limit as heat threatens rail tracks

RAIL commuters across Kent are likely to be affected by delays again today as Connex imposes a 60mph limit on their lines.

The speed restrictions come amid fears the steel rails will buckle in the heat.

A spokesperson for Connex said the average delays were around ten minutes.
