Suzuki has added more than £1,000 worth of accessories to the cheapest V-Strom 1000 for free, creating a new, better-equipped base model.

The renamed V-Strom 1000 Adventure maintains the old bike's £9,999 retail price (£10,134 on the road), but adds hand guards, lower cowling, engine bars, a side case luggage set, a tank pad, and a side panel decal kit. Anti-lock brakes and switchable traction control are already standard.

Suzuki GB National Sales Manager Jonathan Martin announced the new base model, saying, "We're delighted to introduce a new and higher-spec base model for the V-Strom 1000.

“Accessories are a big consideration for customers, especially of this style of bike. From our extensive catalogue of accessories, we have selected the most popular and equipped them as standard, making the V-Strom 1000 Adventure the new base model and adding even more value."

On a Personal Contract Purchase finance agreement, the V-Strom 1000 Adventure is available for less than £125 per month with a £2,000 deposit.
