Plans for new Boulogne service

Euroferries, the company which planned to launch a Dover to Boulogne ferry service has announced plans to sail from Ramsgate to the French port.

The service, which is expected to begin in the spring, was previously headed by former Hoverspeed chief executive Geoffrey Ede.

It will be using a 98m state-of-the-art fast ferry craft to launch the service but the vessel has not been identified.

SpeedOne, the catamaran used by SpeedFerries, is on the market but its 86m length would indicate that it is not the vessel.
