As the snow continues to melt, travel conditions in Kent are almost back to normal.
All of the reported problems on the roads this morning were from road works or traffic light failures rather than snow and ice.
Southeastern is running a normal timetable but a spokesman said the weather situation was constantly under review.
"We are preparing as best we can for more snow. Southeastern is running ghost trains throughout the night without any customers on board to keep the tracks clear for the early morning services."
But heavy snowfall has caused chaos across other parts of the country.
Central England is one of the hardest hit areas. Hundreds of schools are closed there today and gritting of roads is being kept to a minimum as stocks of salt plummet.
Birmingham, Luton and East Midlands airports had all closed runways to clear the snow and train services in many areas had been affected by delays and cancellations.
However, we may not be out of the woods yet. As Kent got back up and running though, further weather warnings have been put in place as more snow is expected to fall here over the next few days.
