The castle that played Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films is looking for “trainee wizards” for the forthcoming season.
Alnwick Castle was used in the film remakes of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone as well as Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets.
Ahead of its reopening in March 2021, the Northumberland landmark is looking to recruit 130 people, with roles such as trainee wizard and costumed tour guide up for grabs.
“We are getting ready to open our seasonal recruitment for next year and look forward to hiring the seasonal team,” said Susan Richardson, HR manager at Alnwick Castle.
“If you want to come and work at Alnwick Castle during the 2021 season, we are looking for enthusiastic, positive-minded, team players, who can go that extra mile to help ensure our visitors have a great day out.
“We also look forward to welcoming back our returning staff, as they play a key part in the success of the programme.”
Jobs will be advertised in January.
Alnwick Castle was also used in two Downton Abbey Christmas specials as Brancaster Castle, as well as a number of blockbuster films such as Transformers: The Last Knight.
Staff at the castle will help put on Harry Potter-themed events such as broomstick training before closing again in October 2021.
