A total of 5,496,716 people in the UK have now received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine and are fully vaccinated against the virus.

This is the equivalent of 10.4% of the adult population.

Some 31,622,367 people (60.0% of adults) have received a first dose.

Here are the detailed figures for each nation:

– England

A total of 26,765,865 people had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine up to April 5, according to NHS England.

This is the equivalent of 47.6% of the total population of England, and 60.5% of people aged 18 and over, based on the latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.

Some 4,398,311 people have now received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine – the equivalent of 7.8% of the total population, and 9.9% of people aged 18 and over.

The latest available breakdown for age groups in England is for doses given up to March 28.

These suggest that 93.1% of people aged 50 and over in England have received one dose, while 10.3% are likely to have had both doses.

– Wales

As of 10pm on April 5, 1,493,192 people had received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, according to Public Health Wales.

This is the equivalent of 47.4% of the total population of Wales, and 59.2% of people aged 18 and over.

A total of 469,251 people have received both doses, the equivalent of 14.9% of the total population and 18.6% of people aged 18 and over.

Of those aged 50 and over, 87.4% are likely to have received a first dose and 25.5% both doses.

– Scotland

As of 7.30am on April 6, 2,577,816 people had received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, according to the Scottish Government.

This is the equivalent of 47.2% of the total population of Scotland, and 58.1% of people aged 18 and over.

A total of 463,780 people have received both doses, the equivalent of 8.5% of the total population and 10.5% of people aged 18 and over.

An estimated 97.9% of people aged 80 and over have received a first dose, and 46.5% have received both doses.

The number of people aged 70 to 74 and 75 to 79 who have received a first dose has exceeded the estimate population size of these age groups, while the figures for second doses are 5.8% and 18.0% respectively.

– Northern Ireland

A total of 785,494 people had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine as of April 5, according to the Northern Ireland Department of Health.

This is the equivalent of 41.5% of the total population of Northern Ireland, and 54.1% of people aged 18 and over.

The number of people to have received both doses is 165,374, the equivalent of 8.7% of the total population and 11.4% of people aged 18 and over.

Some 92% of people aged 70 and over are likely to have received a first dose, while 20% have received both doses.
