Cold weather health alerts have been issued across England as the UK experienced chilly conditions at the start of 2025.

Amber alerts have been issued from 12pm on Thursday until January 8 by the UK Health Security Agency.

As the country prepares for lower temperatures, here is a selection of images from across the UK.
