Join Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust as a Lived Experience Involvement and Engagement Facilitator

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) believes that real-life experiences shape the best ideas for change.

That’s why KMPT is hiring five Lived Experience Involvement and Engagement Facilitators - flexible, hybrid roles designed for people with secondary experience of using mental health, social care, or community services.

.

Who KMPT is looking for

Your lived experience gives you a unique insight that can help shape better, more inclusive services. Whether you’ve used mental health, social care, or community services, supported a loved one through these systems, or worked alongside individuals navigating care services, your voice matters. This is a chance to turn your experiences into meaningful change, engaging with communities and influencing the way services are delivered.

.

Why these roles are different

As a Lived Experience Involvement and Engagement Facilitator, you’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive team where your insights will drive service improvements. These roles offer flexible working, including hybrid options in Maidstone, Canterbury, and Dartford, making them accessible to those who need a role that adapts to their life.

.

These roles also offer the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team who are committed to your personal and professional development. Training and support is offered to help you achieve your own career goals alongside enabling you to support others to have their voices heard.

KMPT knows that traditional work patterns don’t suit everyone, which is why it is committed to offering flexibility to ensure that work fits around you - not the other way around.

.

Making work more accessible for parents and carers

Through KMPT’s partnership with Five Hour Club, they’re breaking down employment barriers for all by making it easier for those with caring responsibilities or other commitments to return to work in hours to suit them. The roles will offer additional flexibility of working around caring responsibilities, if people need that, ensuring that more people can access meaningful employment that works for them.
