Boots recalls children's multivitamins with Food Standards Agency alert confirming a packaging error

High Street store Boots is recalling a range of its children's multivitamins.

The health and beauty retailer is asking parents who have bought its strawberry flavoured gummies to not let their children eat them because of ingredients not mentioned on the label.

The Boots Kids Daily Health Multivitamins Strawberry Flavour range has been 'mispacked', says the Food Standards Agency, with gummies which also contain soya which could pose a risk to young customers with allergies.

Packets affected by the issue contain 30 of the chewable gummies and will have a best before date of May 17 2024. The affected gummies will also be orange in colour and not red.

Notices have been placed in the aisles of Boots stores alerting shoppers to the error, which advises those with the multivitamins to not eat them if the soya is likely to pose a risk.

Boots is offering a full refund to shoppers who bring their packets back to the store regardless of whether they have a receipt.
