A popular Magnum ice cream is being recalled amid fears some of the treats may contain pieces of metal.
Manufacturer Unilver has issued a safety recall notice for packets of its Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks.
The firm said internal safety checks had identified that affected batches may contain pieces of metal that make the ice creams unsafe to eat.
Households who may have affected multi-packs of the ice cream in their freezers are being asked to telephone the company’s customer care line on 0800 678 1031 for further help and advice.
The safety recall notice applies to Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks in packets of three – each 100ml.
The boxes, says the Food Standards Agency, will have a best before date of November 2025 and batch codes L3324, L3325, L3326, L3327 and L3328.
