Lidl is recalling more packets of biscuits amid fears they may contain metal.
The supermarket had already issued a safety recall notice for three packets of its Tower Gate cookies.
But the budget retailer has been forced to extend its warning to more biscuits and snacks amid fears that they too could be contaminated and unsafe to eat.
A message on the Food Standards Agency website explains: “Lidl is extending their recall of various cookies because they may contain pieces of metal.
“The possible presence of metal makes these products unsafe to eat.”
Shoppers with affected products at home are asked to return them to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund.
