Dogs at an animal rescue centre in Kent have been left excited to treat themselves in delicious meals, as they have been gifted with several fresh food packages.
It comes as Butternut Box, a fresh dog food subscription service, decided to donate some of their products to Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre, in Biggin Hill, near Bromley.
Butternut Box decided to partner up with a few animal charities across the UK, as part of its commitment to support disadvantaged rescue pups.
The company's team and its co-founder Dave Nolan hand-delivered nutritious meals in a brightly-coloured decorated van.
Every meal is made with human-quality meat and vegetables to provide the right balance of minerals and vitamins for all dogs.
Hannah Hesketh, Butternut Box co-ordinator said: "We love being able to visit our charity partners and offer a helping hand to these wonderful causes who are helping so many dogs find a home in the UK.
"This is an important time to give back to others and dogs are no exception, so we feel privileged to be delivering simple, tasty and complete meals to dogs who will benefit from it most."
Butternut Box decided to donate to Foal Farm because of Mr Nolan's long-running relationship with the charity. He has adopted his second dog - Apple, a greyhound mix - from Foal Farm.
Mr Nolan said he felt inspired to see all the great work his charity partners do.
"I feel so lucky that with the help of our customers and the help of our team that we’re able to give back to dogs less fortunate than the ones we’re lucky enough to feed," he added.
Staff at Foal Farm said they are immensely grateful for the partnership, as they receive nearly 10,000 packages every year.
Denise Hodge, the rescue centre's commercial operations manager, said: "This partnership is incredibly valuable to us as it ensures that our dogs get the best quality meals all year round, which vastly improves their health and welfare.
"We always recommend that anyone rehoming a dog from us continues to feed them Butternut Box meals."
