More on KentOnline
December is our last Kent Pets Tournament, so, to go out with a bang, this month's competition will see all the previously crowned winners go head-to-head.
This all-stars finale will see readers vote for their favourite overall winner, it's going to be a tough battle so every vote counts!
In this first round, four animals will be voted on by readers to go to round two - getting one step closer to becoming December's pet of the month and the overall winner of the competition.
For those new to the game, every month we have chosen eight animals across Kent for readers to explore the lives of and vote on who will be Kent's pet of the month.
Every week readers will vote on pairs of animals to go to the next round until only one remains.
Head-to-Head #1
Albie the Alaskan Shepherd
Albie is an all white, Alaskan shepherd, who won November's Pet of the Month.
The playful dog won the heart of our voters with his cheeky behaviour.
His owner Kerri said: "We have had our moments where he has pushed his limits to see how cheeky he can be.
"These include a time where I had just got a brand new limited edition pair of Nike trainers, I absolutely adored them but it seemed Albie did as well.
"During the night, he managed to find said trainers and chew the back of them off but annoyingly it was only one trainer he seemed to enjoy."
Albie had also gone missing on one occasion when being looked after by his owners dad, luckily he had just taken himself off to the kebab shop!
These are just a few stories shared by Albie's owners who love the fluffy white bear so much.
Ollie the golden retriever
Ollie is a nine-year-old rescue golden retriever who won July's Pet of the Month.
His favourite things in the world are soft toys and he’s been known to fit four teddy bears in his mouth at one time.
Just like Albie, Ollie's owners say he is also a bit of a shoe stealer.
However, Ollie never chews them but collects them and stores them all in one place to lie on for comfort.
He always has to greet his owners at the door with a gift as well – that could be scarves, gloves, stolen shoes or jumpers.
His best friend is his owners son closely followed by Kitty the kitten, who sleeps snuggled into him.
Head-to-Head #2
Mona the lurcher cross Shih Tzu
Mona is a four-year-old lurcher cross Shih Tzu who won Octobers Pet of the Month.
Her favourite thing is running through the woods with her mum and sibling.
Mona also loves snuggling in her owner's bed.
However, no amount of bed snuggles can get rid of the hate she has for getting her nails cut.
Poppy the duprasi gerbil
Poppy the duprasi gerbil won May's Pet of the Month.
Readers were blown away by her touching tale of a loving family adopting her from a neglectful home and now she's basking in the spotlight.
The gerbil was left underweight and with overgrown bottom teeth in her last home when her owners became bored of her.
After she and her mum, Amber, were rescued by their new family she recovered and began to enjoy playing again - given more to do with her sand pit and hamster wheel.
Head-to-Head #3
Aurora the Dalmatian
Aurora the Dalmatian won June's Pet of the Month.
Readers were smitten at the playful pup's charm, mischief, affection and energy.
Aurora's favourite activities of running and climbing managed to get the voters behind her, even if it meant she was getting up to no good counter surfing and raiding bins!
However, the dalmatian still has a fear of the sea, but with some tough love, her family are hoping to teach Aurora to love the seaside waters.
Jimmy the cocker King Charles cross
Jimmy is a 12-year-old cocker King Charles cross who won September's Pet of the Month.
His family brought him when he was just eight-weeks-old, although he still acts like a pup he does forget he can’t run as fast as he used to!
Jimmy's family say he listens like a human when you're talking to him and if you give him a piece of ham, he will literally do anything.
His favourite toy is his honky pig and every time his owners buy him a new one he bites the honker and stuffing out of them without fail.
Head-to-Head #4
Taffy the Welsh collie
Taffy is a five-year-old Welsh Collie who won August's Pet of the Month.
He was chosen by his owners after they met his dad asleep on a pub floor and kept in touch when he was sired for puppies.
Due to their meeting, Taffy's human parents had the first pick of the litter.
Now he is five, and a father himself, Taffy's owners say he has the best life ever.
His favourite game is going round and round with a stick in his mouth and he loves chasing after a ball on a beach.
Taffy is also a keen footballer! He loves a football pitch where he always puts the ball in the net for the next kick.
Ziggy the Labrador
Ziggy the Labrador, who is also a qualified sniffer dog, won April's Pet of the Month.
When he isn't training hard to be the best in the business, Ziggy enjoys his free time with his family at home.
Besides annoying his older cairn terrier brother Louie, eating ice cream and playing with his favourite car tyre, Ziggy loves to watch TV.
Though his family usually don't find it as relaxing - Ziggy will bark at any animal or even vehicles that show up on the screen.
And when he's finally spent, Ziggy naps with his head rested on the closest pillow he can find.
