In another photo, the seal looks directly at the camera.

The marine mammal was found at the beach over the long weekend.

It was spotted by a walker, who at first thought he was hurt.

They explained: "The first thing I thought was to keep my distance and to see if it was hurt.

"But it wasn’t, it was just resting. It was so cute and I feel really lucky to have seen it.

The walker said she felt very lucky to have seen the seal

"I was very surprised to see it.

"It was nice as no one else about so it wouldn’t get disturbed."

Earlier this year a seal was seen basking in the sun on Faversham Creek outside The Shipwright's Arms.

Punters saw the seal rolling in the mud along Faversham Creek while enjoying a sunny spring day.
