A main road was closed in both directions following a crash.

The accident happened on the A259 Lydd Road, just outside New Romney at around 4.50pm.

A car and a motorcycle were reportedly involved, close to the junction with Romney Road.

It is not yet known if there were any injuries.

Police officers were at the scene, along with paramedics.

The road was reopened around 7.30pm.
