A house near New Romney was struck by lightning last night, which caused holes in the roof of the property.

Fire crews (KFRS) attended the house in Alfred Road, Greatstone at around 11.30pm.

The residents had heard a loud bang, they lost power and then saw smoke coming from the fuse box, so called KFRS.
