Incredible pictures of the Milky Way have been captured in Kent.
Photographer Mike Hardy, who runs a business called C5 Films, has been taking stunning shots of the skies when the weather has permitted.
The Romney Marsh resident says despite the weather being “lousy”, he has spent his summer in the county looking up at the skies at night when the clouds part and capturing beautiful pictures of the stars and Milky Way.
Mr Hardy has been able to stay close to home and snap what he described as the “majestic beauty” of the sky in Littlestone-on-Sea.
Travelling slightly further afield, the photographer has gone to the extremes to get jaw-dropping shots of the stars and even picked up some bruises on the way.
“After four trips over the groynes, three slides down a shingle bank, two bruises and a broken tripod”, Mr Hardy says he got a beautiful picture of Winchelsea Beach, which he says was certainly worth it.
Coming slightly away from the coast, the Romney Marsh resident has also taken pictures in Appledore, which is near Tenterden.
Describing it as one of his wife’s favourite pictures, the photographer stood next to a grand tree with the starlit sky featuring the Milky Way as a delightful backdrop.
