Major search conducted for missing Lydd man David Hill

A major search was underway this morning for a man who went missing yesterday.

David Hill was last seen leaving his home in the Dennes Lane area of Lydd to go running at around 2.10pm.

David Hill was last seen at around 2.10pm yesterday (43778705)

The 52-year-old was an experienced runner, having previously completed runs across country towards Old Romney.

David was described as being 6ft, stocky, with receding grey hair. He was last seen wearing a red Adidas coat and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms.

Overnight a large number of emergency vehicles were stationed near to his last known location, including coastguard and police cars.

Sadly police have since confirmed a body has been found during the search, belonging to a 52-year-old man.
