A man was left unconscious after his sand buggy crashed on a beach yesterday.

The man was knocked out while riding his kite-powered buggy on Greatstone beach on Romney Marsh.

Dungeness Coastguard launched to the scene shortly after 11.30am to care for the man.

They handed him over to paramedics who gave him treatment.

Shore helpers from Littlestone lifeboat station were also called to the incident.
