The word 'rapist' was daubed in neon pink across the window of a 90-year-old woman's home in a late-night attack.
Huge quantities of white paint were also hurled at the detached property in Lydd and puddles of emulsion collected on the doorstep, while paint dripped down the front door itself.
The attack on the home of the disabled grandmother happened on Saturday night and windows were also smashed, while substances were thrown at the infirm pensioner.
The woman is a relative of a convicted rapist who committed a horrific attack several years ago, but the family have completely cut themselves off from the perpetrator.
They have disowned him entirely and have had no contact with him for years, while actively campaigning for restrictions to be put in place to ensure that he is never allowed to return to Kent, if ever released, as part of his parole conditions.
A relative of the pensioner has branded the attacker a 'coward' and said: "To the person or people behind this you are cowards and have broken the law and if caught you will be punished. My poor nan didn’t do anything wrong.”
A police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of criminal damage in Lydd at 10pm on Saturday.
"Officers attended and found that the victim's front door had been vandalised with spray paint.
"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing."
