Air ambulance called to A259 after crash on stretch between Brenzett and Rye

Three people were injured after a serious crash on the A259 over the weekend.
Emergency crews, including police, paramedics and the air ambulance, rushed to the the accident on Saturday, around 8.50pm.
The busy road was shut in both directions between the A2070 at Brenzett and the A268 Wish Street at Rye.
It is understood the accident involved two cars, believed to be a BMW and a Beetle.
An eye-witness said one car nearly crashed into a family stood nearby taking pictures of field.
A SECAmb spokesman said paramedics in three ambulances and a car attended the scene along with the air ambulance.
She added: "All patients were assessed and treated before being taken to hospital by road.
"They were a woman in her 50s with injuries including abdomen pain and a suspected fractured wrist, a man in his 30s with chest pain and another man aged in his 30s with back and chest pain.
"All patients were fully conscious en route to hospital. All were taken to William Harvey Hospital as priority patients."
