Crews with breathing apparatus battled the fire with a high-pressure hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation.

It was extinguished within 30 minutes and the fire service left at 5.18pm.

A spokesman from the service said: "The fire is believed to have started due to sunlight being refracted through a snow globe.

"Crews are urging the public to ensure that no objects that can refract light including glass and mirrors are left by windows."
