Surfer rescued by RNLI near Dungeness

A surfer clinging to his kite board near Dungeness Power Station has been rescued by lifeboat crews.
He was spotted in difficulty by anglers who are understood to have called 999.
The RNLI's Shannon class lifeboat The Morrell was scrambled just after 5.30pm.
The casualty was safely picked up from the sea and his kite board retrieved and after making sure the he was in good health, he was taken back to the boathouse at Dungeness.
Coxswain Stuart Adams said: "The casualty was well prepared and did the right thing by staying with his board."
