A young girl was taken to hospital after getting into trouble while paddle boarding with her mother.
The team from Dungeness Coastguard were called to Littlestone, on Romney Marsh, at 7pm last night following reports the pair were in difficulty.
After arriving at the scene, the crew recovered the mum and daughter from the sea, with the young girl suffering from hypothermia.
An ambulance also attended, and the girl was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: "Team paged at 7pm to two persons on a paddle board in trouble off of Littlestone.
"Once on scene the young casualty and mother were recovered from the water and the young girl was treated for hypothermia.
"Paramedics were called and took the casualty to hospital for further precautionary tests. Team stood down at 8.45pm."
The spokesman reminded people to dial 999 in a coastal emergency and ask for the coastguard.
Earlier this month, the crew from Dungeness helped the team at Hastings and Rye rescue a man stuck in the mud at Winchelsea beach, in East Sussex.
