Chris Ainsley saw the car on his way to work and was shocked.

“I thought it must have been stolen as the vehicle was on bricks and a jack and all the wheels have been removed,” he said.

“You would not take the wheels off if it had suddenly burst into flames.

“I was at Sainsbury’s not long before it closed on Monday night and it was not in the car park then.”

Mr Ainsley posted pictures of the car on Facebook and said someone commented that they heard a bang from the fire.
