Firefighters spent four hours tackling a blaze overnight on Romney Marsh .

Crews were called to the home in Dennes Lane, Lydd , at 11.20pm last night following reports of an electrical fire.

Four fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier were sent to the property, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a fog spike to extinguish the blaze.

One person was given first aid for smoke inhalation.

The cause is believed to be accidental.

Firefighters left the home at 3.30am.
